About your new role

As a Full-stack Developer you work on both the backend and the frontend of complex projects. You can translate concepts and ideas into concrete software solutions and help your team with software development processes that are on the roadmap.

You are also responsible for promoting reusable code by applying standardized modules/packages and researching new techniques. Together with the scrum team, you deliver the programming work on time and within the available budget. You have a connecting role, in which you actively think along and communicate with the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Creating intuitive interfaces for data exposed via ReSTful, OpenAPI, and GraphQL APIs
  • Developing web applications (Symfony/Laravel, Vue.js) according to the team’s quality standards
  • Contributing to project estimations and maintaining a structured backlog together with your team and the product owner
  • Writing tests (Unit, Feature, and Browser tests) to ensure the quality of delivered work
  • Expanding our library with new modules
  • Periodically evaluating and maintaining existing projects
  • Performing and processing code reviews with colleagues
  • Participating in Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and bi-weekly Knowledge Sessions to discuss standards, improvements, and challenges—helping us improve every day

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven experience as a PHP and Vue.js developer in a mature organization
  • Solid knowledge and experience with PHP
  • Strong understanding and experience with Node.js, Yarn, NPM, and Vue.js
  • Experience with at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel/Symfony)
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, MySQL, RESTful/SOAP web services, AJAX, WebSockets)
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on translating concepts into functional software architecture

Preferred Knowledge

  • Several years of commercial experience with Symfony/Laravel
  • Several years of commercial experience with Vue.js, NPM/Yarn, and Webpack
  • Passion for and experience with open-source development
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
