Data strategy
How to get (more) value from your data? A data strategy answers this question and establishes how you can fully reap the long-term benefits of the wealth of information available to you — for example, through dashboards.
Why define a data strategy?
When we talk about data, we’re actually referring to insights: factual information that supports decision-making, inventory management, or sales, among other things. The data is often available, but there’s a lack of insight because it’s not centrally stored, and you can’t see the forest for the trees. With a data strategy, we consider your information needs, the available data, and the way in which this data can be unlocked. This results in a concrete plan for getting the most out of the available data.
What happens once the data strategy has been defined?
Based on the data strategy we’ve established, we’ll work on gaining the desired insights. The approach varies, as it depends on the information needs and starting situation. Sometimes, when all data is easy to unlock, a BI dashboard can be created within as little as a few days. Other times, though, we first need to enrich or migrate data before we can create the insight we require. It’s a customized process, so every data strategy is different.

How we work
At PAQT, we use our proven working method, Rise, for all projects. We go through four stages: ‘Understand,’ ‘solution design,’ ‘plan of approach,’ and ‘implementation.’ Determining a data strategy falls under the first stage of this working method. During the ‘understand’ stage, we fully immerse ourselves in your organization, your processes, and the market. Before we discuss technology, we first want to understand your needs and business goals. Once we're familiar with your ambitions, we can define a good strategy.
