What will your role be?
As a developer at PAQT, you work with your scrum team on innovative applications for our clients. SaaS, ERP or software platform: for our clients, the solution is essential for their business operations. That is why quality always comes first and we often work with our clients for a long time. Even after delivery.
In our Rise working method, we pay a lot of attention to the preliminary phase, so that you know exactly for which problem you are building a solution. For this we use coding standards and frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony. In addition, you work with your team and the customer in realistic sprints with clear goals and code reviews with colleagues, extensive tests and monthly knowledge sessions are part of the standard work routine.
Your work
- The technical design of web applications (architecture, ERD, Use Cases, etc.)
- Collaborate on project estimates and tight backlog with your team and the product owner
- Web applications (Laravel and Symfony) programming according to the quality standards of the team
- Writing tests (Unit, Feature and Browser tests) for testing delivered work
- The further expansion of our library with new modules
- Periodically evaluating and maintaining existing projects
- Conducting and processing code reviews with colleagues
- Stand-ups, Retrospectives and bi-weekly Knowledge Sessions in which ideas about standards, improvements, problems are exchanged in order to get a little better every day
- Thinking about how we can take our company to a higher level through innovations

Required work experience and knowledge
- Demonstrable experience as a PHP developer at a mature organization
- Expert level of knowledge and experience with PHP
- An excellent foundation in object-oriented programming and architecture (UML, Design Patterns, DDD, SOLID)
- Experience with at least one PHP framework (e.g. Laravel/Symphony)
- Thorough knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, MySQL, RESTful/SOAP web services, AJAX, web sockets)
- Communicative skills with a focus on translating concept into functional software architecture
Desired knowledge
- At least 5 years of commercial experience with Symfony/Laravel
- Experience in setting up maintainable architectures
- Experience with Domain Driven Design
- Experience with agile scrum
