With CEO Igor Brouwers, PAQT is ready for the next growth phase

An important step for PAQT: Igor Brouwers has started as CEO as of April 1, 2024. Since its founding more than 10 years ago by Robert Horsmans and Maurits Dijkgraaf, software developer PAQT has gone through various growth phases. And for the next phase, the organization needs to be sufficiently scalable to facilitate that growth. With Igor Brouwers, PAQT now has the right leader on board to manage that process.
With more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of business and IT, including extensive experience at the boardroom table, Igor is looking forward to growing into this next phase together with the PAQT team. “Based on that experience, I asked Igor to continue building PAQT with us,” says Robert Horsmans. ‘PAQT has a great foundation. Now we are ready to organize ourselves even better towards the next growth phase.’
To absorb growth effectively
‘Robert and Maurits are both born entrepreneurs. Because PAQT is growing, they have also been given more and more tasks over the years. At some point, you need to be willing to delegate tasks again. Only then can you continue to excel in what you are good at: entrepreneurship,” Igor Brouwers explains. ‘If an organization grows, you can’t make it by just working harder. You want your organization to be scalable and able to absorb growth effectively.
This also applies to software development. We create added value by translating our customer’s needs into a high-quality software solution. We don’t reinvent the wheel every time. I am extremely proud that I can work for such a progressive and innovative software developer with such growth ambitions.’
Double in size in 3 years
‘More and more organizations are discovering the power of integrated development teams that relieve them of every step of software development. From idea to implementation and maintenance. PAQT will double in size over the next 3 years and with the larger projects we are currently doing, we are eager for more. That is why we are looking for increasingly larger and more complex projects to continue to challenge our colleagues. Current customers can count on more and more additional services. Think of Managed Kubernetes hosting, the implementation of extensive logging (SIEM) and AI solutions. And in that growth, Maurits and I are eager to dive in, together with all our colleagues. With Igor on board, we have someone who ensures that we make decisions, and that the organization becomes more scalable,” says Robert Horsmans.
